Dear colleagues,
The 7th virtual roundtable on measuring corruption will be held on July 13 from 22:00 to 24:00 (Japan Standard Time) / 9:00 to 11:00 (Eastern Daylight Time) / 15:00 to 17:00 (Central European Summer Time). This time, the discussion will focus on measuring corruption in electoral processes.
An introductory presentation will be given by Professor Holly Ann Garnett (Royal Military College of Canada), followed by a combination of Q&A and open-floor discussion.
Professor Garnett is Co-Director of the Electoral Integrity Project, which seeks to quantify the integrity of elections worldwide. The project produces the Perceptions of Electoral Integrity Index since 2013, and most recently the Electoral Integrity Global Report 2019-2021, building on previous work by Pippa Norris and colleagues.
If you would like to join, please send me an email to jpozsgai@hus.osaka-u.ac.jp.
As before, the meeting intends to bring together a small number of specialists to have an informal conversation about the measurement of corruption. This will be the seventh installment of a series of meetings planned for 2022.
